DIY Home Updates To Try This Summer!

 Are you having the itch to get a few projects completed this summer? Update a room around the house but don't know what you want to do? We have compiled a list of a few amazing do-it-yourself updates that will blow you away! 

1) If your kitchen is outdated and drab we have a solution for you! Paint your kitchen cabinets this will change the whole look of this space and it is fairly inexpensive! 

2) Update the handles and doorknobs on your kitchen or bathroom cabinets. This is a small change but can make a HUGE difference to your home.

3) Swap out light fixtures! You do not have to go spend a ton of money and buy brand new lighting you can find fixtures second hand! Add a coat of paint and voila! Your space will look brand new. 

4) Paint your bathroom faucets. Yes, you heard that correctly! You can paint your faucets. If you are updating your doorknobs and light fixtures might as well paint the faucets to match! 

5) Repaint your walls. A fresh coat of paint can make all the world of a difference in the world. If you decide to paint try and stick with neutral colors. Using neutrals it will not only keep the space crisp and clean it can make it look bigger! 

6) Add shelving. Free up much-needed space and declutter by adding shelving. You can display all your favorite items on your new shelves. They don't only look great they a very functional! 

7) Change out your backsplash. This one will be a little more pricy but can really bring that much-needed texture to your kitchen or bathroom.

8) Add crown molding! Crown molding makes it to the top of the remodeling lists because it adds charm and value to your home. 

9) Renew old tile flooring with a tile stencil! All you need is some paint + the tile stencil and your flooring will look brand new.

10) Plant flowers! If you want to update plant some flowers both inside and out! The best way to get the most bang for your buck is by investing in bulbs. You can divide them up year after year!
