Seawolves Hockey Games

Holiday Lights at the Garden

Location: Alaska Botanical Garden

Date: January 1 - January 11

Time: 5-8 pm

Enjoy hot drinks and a model train in the greenhouse, live music and bonfires to celebrate the holiday season in beautiful lights.

 

Zoo Lights

Location: Alaska Zoo

Dates: January 1-March 1

Times: 5-8 pm

The Alaska Zoo will be lit with the lighted parade of animals! Come see the big, bright and beautiful lights from the front to the back on the zoo. A fun night for the family!

 

Anchorage Folk Festival

Location: Wendy Williamson Auditorium

Dates: January 15-26

A community-organized festival that celebrates folk music and dances! Both local and guest artists will be there to perform and teach during this cultural winter festival. There will be shows, contests, classes, dancing, educational workshops, and open jams!

 

Stargazing

Location: Anchorage Museum

Date: January 23

Time: 5:30-7 pm

NASA Solar System Ambassadors are hosting a live program that will highlight the latest in space news in the museum's planetarium. After the program that updates the audience on current space missions and what's currently visible in the sky, stay for activities and outside telescope viewing!

 

Family Opera Day

Location: Anchorage Museum

Date: January 25

Time: 11 am-3 pm

In anticipation of the upcoming show, Frida, the museum will host the set of the Anchorage Opera company that will include family-friendly activities such as costume accessory-creation, kazoo orchestra, and a sneak peek opera performance!
