We love getting out and hitting the trails any chance we get. The Alaskan terrain is beautiful from the beaches to mountain tops we really do have it all We are lucky to have nearly 300 miles of hiking trails near Anchorage and we want to share some of our favorite places to hike with you!

Flattop Mountain - This is by far one of the most popular hikes with it being just 15 miles from downtown Anchorage. It is a 1,200-foot climb to the summit and worth every step!

Byron Glacier Trail - A quick and 1.4-mile trail surrounded by mountains and ends the edge of Byron Glacier!

Thunderbird Falls - Being from Eagle River area we love this trail it is located just north of us and it is a wonderful 1-mile journey. Make sure you go all the way to the end to enjoy the waterfall!

Rendezvous Peak - This trail is lined with berries during the month of August if you are into making jams or jelly this moderate hike is calling your name!

Winner Creek - Running right through the Chugach National forest this trail has very little elevation game and you can be in and out in 5 miles! You will love seeing all the lush wilderness and glacier fed waters!

Crow Pass - Looking to go camping? This is a perfect trail that can be divided up into 2 days. Starting in Eagle river it will connect you right to downtown Girdwood via the mountain pass. Make sure you pack some snacks for this beautiful 26-mile journey!
